E-prescribing is used as a replacement for the traditional, old paper prescriptions that were used.
By providing electronic prescriptions, doctors can expedite prescriptions faster, more accurately and less chance of loss. Patients enjoy the benefit of faster medications. Traditionally a patient would have to wait while a subscription is being filled, however with e-prescribing patients can often times walk right in and pick-up the completed electronic prescription.
